Hi I am Lauren Mercer and I love playing tennis, reading books, hanging out with my friends, and hiking. I am currently majoring in marketing and double minoring in finance and Public relations and cannot wait to see what my fellow members and myself will achieve this year in Tower Guard.

How did you hear about Tower Guard?
I heard about Tower Guard through my big in my sorority. She was a member and encouraged me to apply, and I am thankful to her because now I am apart of an amazing organization with amazing people.
What made you apply to Tower Guard? What does Tower Guard's purpose mean to you?
I applied to Tower Guard because I love what we stand for. To me, it is extremely important to help others get equal resources and opportunities pushing them along the path for success. Tower Guard provides that extra push to give those who need it!
What does your position on Executive Board do?
My position on the Tower Guard Exec Board is to raise funds through the planning and organization of fundraisers, as well as designating an endowment to donate our funds to.
What are you most excited about for this year? What do you hope to see the Tower Guard class of 2023-2024 achieve?
I am extremely excited to get to know my fellow members betters as well as helping out within the RCPD and MSU community more. I hope our Tower Guard class will generate more awareness to the RCPD and its importance on campus and provide a chance for more students to get involved with Tower Guard!

My name is Trinity Amalraj and I am a human biology major and bioethics minor in the Lyman Briggs College. I love to read, listen to music, watch movies, and hang out with friends. I’m so excited to be a part of Tower Guard and contribute to making MSU more accessible for students!

How did you hear about Tower Guard?
I heard about Tower Guard when I was invited to apply!
What made you apply to Tower Guard? What does Tower Guard's purpose mean to you?
Being passionate about advocating for sexual/menstrual health on campus and in the community has inspired me to advocate for other communities, something that Tower Guard empowers me to do! Meeting people dedicated to advocacy, working with the Resource Center for Persons with Disability (RCPD), and collaborating to ensure an equitable environment for students encompass the Tower Guard mission, something that has helped motivate my own journey in advocacy.
What does your position on Executive Board do?
As fundraising chair, my role is a vital building block to continuing and widening our impact of advocating for students with disabilities by ensuring that money is raised to benefit the RCPD and Tower Guard events like May Morning Sing through organizing fundraising events.
What are you most excited about for this year? What do you hope to see the Tower Guard class of 2023-2024 achieve?
I am excited to positively impact Michigan State through the work and advocacy we do through Tower Guard. I hope to see this year’s Tower Guard class collaborate to dismantle barriers in our community for students with disabilities!
