How did you hear about Tower Guard?
The first time I heard about Tower Guard was when having a coffee chat with my upperclassman, Amy, who was also one of the Tower Guard alumni, during the first semester of my freshman year at MSU.
What made you apply to Tower Guard? What does Tower Guard's purpose mean to you?
Tower Guard's purpose means a lot to me. It represents a commitment to service, leadership, and making a positive difference in the community. I knew that Tower Guard was not just about volunteering but also about building strong bonds with fellow members and developing leadership skills. This resonated with me as I've always been passionate about giving back to the community and growing as a person. Joining Tower Guard allows me to align my values with action and contribute to a larger cause while also fostering personal growth and connections with like-minded individuals.
What does your position on Executive Board do?
As the treasurer on the E-Board of Tower Guard, I manage the organization's finances. My responsibilities include overseeing income and expenses, handling fundraising and donations, creating and maintaining the budget, and ensuring financial transparency. I also manage financial transactions, provide regular updates to the E-Board and members, and publish the budget to align our financial goals with our mission and objectives.
What are you most excited about for this year? What do you hope to see the Tower Guard class of 2023-2024 achieve?
I am particularly excited about the Tower Guard class of 2023-2024's commitment to community service and its potential to bring fresh ideas to the table. The active engagement, leadership development, and creative initiatives will undoubtedly enhance our organization's impact on the local community. As Treasurer, I also hope to see responsible financial management from this class, ensuring that our resources are used efficiently to support our mission. Together, the efforts and achievements will play a significant role in shaping the continued success of Tower Guard in the upcoming year!
